New Delhi: The CEO of the AI search engine Perplexity AI, Aravind Srinivas, is an Indian national and is no stranger to controversy.
He recently issued a challenge to Elon Musk.
Asked him to “stop” him from raising an enormous amount of money from the federal agency if at all possible.
On X, Mr. Srinivas posted., I am “looking to raise $500 billion from USAID.” Money has been obtained. @elonmusk, stop me if you can. “What is USAID?”
Tesla boss Mr. Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump demanded that the federal agency be shut down, the post was made.
A federal judge halted the administration’s plan to place 2,200 USAID employees on paid leave on Friday.
Who Is Aravind Srinivas?
The CEO and co-founder of Perplexity AI, a search engine driven by artificial intelligence and supported by well-known investors like Jeff Bezos, is Aravind Srinivas.
Mr. Srinivas founded Perplexity AI in 2022 along with Andy Konwinski, Denis Yarats, and Johnny Ho.
IIT-Madras alumnus Aravind Srinivas earned his PhD at the University of California, Berkeley.
Prior to assuming comparable positions at well-known tech firms like Google and DeepMind, Mr. Srinivas started his career as a research intern at OpenAI.
However, he rejoined OpenAI as a research scientist prior to co-founding Perplexity AI.
