Dubai: In a high-voltage encounter at Dubai, Team India triumphed over Pakistan by six wickets in the Champions Trophy 2025.
Batting first, Pakistan was bowled out for 241 runs in 49.4 overs.
India successfully chased the target in 42.3 overs, losing just four wickets.
Virat Kohli played a match-winning knock, scoring an unbeaten 100 off 111 balls, including seven boundaries.
Shreyas Iyer (56) and Shubman Gill (46) provided solid contributions in the middle order, while Rohit Sharma (20) gave a brisk start but couldn’t sustain his innings for long.
Among the Indian bowlers, Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets, while Hardik Pandya claimed two, dismantling Pakistan’s batting lineup.
For Pakistan, Saud Shakeel (62) and Mohammad Rizwan (46) were the only batters who offered resistance, as the rest struggled.
With this victory, India moves closer to securing a semifinal spot, whereas Pakistan’s chances of progressing to the knockouts have diminished.
Notably, this marks Kohli’s 51st (Virat Kohli total centuries : 82) ODI century.
